Eye Candy Friday
I survived Thanksgiving and we had a lovely day. Everything got baked and cleaned and prepared without any major mishaps. Well, except for the pipeline at the end of the road. They chose Wednesday to close the road and install pipe across it. So, the road into my house was closed for most of the afternoon. Luckily, the neighbor pulled up to the closure right behind me and we managed to get home cutting across the pasture on a 2 track road. It took 45 minutes, but it was a heck of a lot better than sitting in the car for 6 hours. A little notice might have been nice, but what do I know.
Here’s a little Thanksgiving Eye Candy for you.

I hope those of you who celebrate had a great holiday. We’re headed out to do a little bit of shopping locally, but are avoiding the mall and the big chain stores like the plague. I hope you are all enjoying a long weekend and are not out shopping at the mall on Black Friday.

What a beautifully set table. For some reason I had completely forgotten what day it was until I read this post (and even after, I thought, why is she posting eye candy Friday on Saturday?). I get so confused on these long weekends!

Looks like someone had a Happy Thanksgiving.
Mine was great too, so here’s to wonderful meals with friends and family! And avoiding the big retail stores too…you couldn’t pay me enough to go in one of those places today.

Oh, what a wonderful-looking bird (and table – I love your dining chairs!). Have a good long weekend!

What a gorgeous turkey! Since I’m the only meat eater in the house I did a turkey breast for myself so it didn’t look anything like your beautiful bird!

Your table is beautiful. Our family had a good day too and my Mother did a great job on all the food. I only went to one store and it wasn’t even Christmas shopping.

Beautiful tablescape…what is your china, may I ask? I have my reasons, mainly that it looks a lot like our old Lenox that now resides with the Good Daughter-in-Law! We did-gasp-go to the mall tonight, for converters and adapters and travel pillows and TSA approved luggage locks. The mall was not bad at 7pm!

Your dining table setup looks lovely. The red wall adds such warmth to the room. Glad that your Thanksgiving went well. I absolutely refused to go shopping on Black Friday, although I must admit that we hit up Best Buy and Target on Saturday. That was about all I could handle!
